Bangladesh secured the ODI series victory over New Zealand today (23 April), winning the three-match series 2-1 with a commanding 55-run triumph in the decider.
The victory marks Bangladesh's first series win against the Kiwis in 12 years and comes with a record, as it is their largest win by runs against New Zealand in ODIs. Their previous biggest victory over the visitors was by 43 runs in Mirpur in 2013.
The third ODI in Chattogram effectively served as an unofficial final, with the series level at 1-1. Chasing a target of 266, New Zealand were bowled out for 210, falling well short as Bangladesh's bowlers delivered a disciplined performance.
