Bangladesh beat England in super over thriller in warm-up match

Bangladesh's Under-19 women's team defeated England by two runs in a tense super over during their second warm-up match in Kuala Lumpur on 15 January.
This historic victory, the first against England in any format of women's cricket, comes as an encouraging sign ahead of the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, starting on 18 January.
Batting first, England posted 113 for 9 in their 20 overs. In response, Bangladesh's chase came down to the final ball, with one run needed to seal the win. However, Nishita Akter was run out, leaving the scores tied and forcing the match into a super over.
Bangladesh batted first in the super over and scored 11 runs, with Sadia Akter's quickfire 8 off 3 balls, including a six, proving crucial. In reply, England managed just 9 runs, as Habiba Akter bowled a brilliant over under pressure. England required 4 runs off the final delivery to win, but their batter Prisha Tanawala could only take 2, handing Bangladesh a memorable victory.
