Joey King joins the original cast of Practical Magic 2

Witchy winds are swirling again as 'Practical Magic 2' officially brews with a starry update—Joey King is joining Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman in the long-awaited sequel. King is reportedly set to play the daughter of Bullock's character, Sally Owens. Bullock and Kidman will reprise their iconic roles as the spell-casting Owens sisters from the beloved 1998 original.

While plot details remain under wraps, the sequel is said to draw from a later instalment of Alice Hoffman's Practical Magic book series. Susanne Bier is on board to direct, with Akiva Goldsman, co-writer of the original, penning the script. Production is set to begin in London later this summer, with Warner Bros. eyeing a theatrical release on 18 September 2026.
King, known for 'The Kissing Booth' and 'The Act', adds fresh energy to a film fans have waited nearly 30 years for. As Kidman said, "We've already put out our spell."
