98 Percent of Roads in the Southern Region Are Outside Highway Police Jurisdiction
The Barisal zone of the Road Transport and Highways Division has a total of 1,603.94 kilometers of roads. Of this long stretch, only 32 kilometers are under the supervision of the Gouranadi Highway Police. In percentage terms, 98% of the southern region's roads remain outside the control of the Highway Police.
