Iran announces continuation of uranium enrichment
Iran has announced that it will continue enriching uranium. The country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that abandoning uranium enrichment is against his country's interests. In a speech on June 4, he rejected the new US proposal, saying it contradicts Iran's self-reliance and "we can do it" philosophy.
