Green Day delivers pro-Palestine statement at Coachella

During their headlining debut at Coachella on Saturday night, Green Day made a political statement by altering the lyrics of their 2004 song 'Jesus of Suburbia'.
Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong sang, "Runnin' away from pain like the kids from Palestine," referencing the ongoing Israel-Palestine war. The original lyric was, "Runnin' away from pain when you've been victimised."
Green Day, known for their activism, also performed 'American Idiot' with the line, "I'm not part of the MAGA agenda". Their electrifying set spanned decades of hits, combining rebellion with showmanship. Armstrong invited fans on stage, highlighting the band's connection with their audience and commitment to speaking out.
