Franco-Bangladeshi Cultural Week begins in Paris
'Regards sur le Bangladesh', a Franco-Bangladeshi cultural week, is underway in Paris from 7 to 12 April. The event offers a broad look at Bangladesh's cultural, environmental, and artistic identity through architecture, film, music, literature, and debate.
Organised in collaboration with French and Bangladeshi institutions, the initiative aims to highlight Bangladesh beyond common narratives of climate vulnerability, offering insights into its creative resilience and urban innovation.
Events include documentary screenings such as 'Bamboo Stories' and 'Bengal Delta', architectural lectures by Kashef Mahboob Chowdhury, and round tables addressing urban-river relationships and Bengali literature. A theatre showcase and a final concert featuring French and Bangladeshi artistes will conclude the program.
