Diddy’s attorney seeks to withdraw from federal case

Attorney Anthony Ricco has filed a motion to withdraw as legal counsel for Sean "Diddy" Combs in his ongoing federal case. Filed Friday morning, the motion does not specify reasons for Ricco's departure but cites "sufficient reasons" protected by attorney-client privilege.
Ricco assured the court that his withdrawal would not delay the trial, set for May. Ricco, who joined Combs' defence in September 2024, is one of several attorneys representing the music mogul.
Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos will continue as counsel. Combs, currently incarcerated in Brooklyn, faces charges including racketeering and sex trafficking. His legal battles also include a $100 million defamation lawsuit against NBCUniversal. Neither Ricco nor Combs' representatives have commented.
