Christopher Nolan goes full IMAX: The Odyssey to make cinematic history

Christopher Nolan is taking his cinematic ambition to new heights with 'The Odyssey', which will be the first film shot entirely using IMAX cameras.
Currently in production, the epic adaptation of Homer's classic stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway.
Longtime collaborator Hoyte van Hoytema is behind the lens, following his Oscar-winning work on Oppenheimer.
Nolan has been building toward full IMAX production since The Dark Knight (2008), and this marks the culmination of that vision. Produced by Universal Pictures, the film is slated for a 27 July 2026 release. The studio hails it as "a visionary, once-in-a-generation cinematic masterpiece" worthy of Homer himself.
