Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh has urged people who are aged 60 years or above not to go to markets of sacrificial animals on the eve of Eid-Ul-Adha this year.

He made this call while speaking at a seminar on waste disposal and management held at Nagarbhaban today, said a press release issued by the DSCC.

"From an analysis of WHO data we have come to a realisation that people aged 60 plus are the most vulnerable to COVID-19. That's why I'm requesting all the elderly citizens to avoid cattle markets," said the Mayor.
