Covid-19 cases among cops cross 1000

The cases of coronavirus infection among the police personnel in the country crossed 1,000 cases making the total number to stand at 1153 till Tuesday.
However, more than half of the cases are reported in Dhaka Metropolitan(DMP) area with a total 576 policemen of the law enforcement agency have tested positive for the deadly virus, according to a tally of Bangladesh Police Headquarters.
Five infected police personnel have died so far.

Among the infected, 85 cops have recovered from the virus so far and 1063 remained in isolation centres.
As of Tuesday, the overall death toll from the deadly virus rose to 183 and the number of total infections stood at 10929 in the country.
