City Group cuts prices of edible oil, sugar

The City Group has slashed the prices of its edible oil by Tk5 per litre and sugar by Tk3 per kilogram.

Taking the consumers woes during the ongoing countrywide shutdown due to the deadly coronavirus into account, the company implemented the new price from Monday, said a media statement.

The holy Ramadan started amid the pandemic and the government is trying to minimise public sufferings by taking different welfare initiatives during this time. This is because the company reduced its commodity prices to comply with the government initiatives, the statement read.
