‘Sonar Bangla’ will reflect Bangabandhu’s dream: Nasrul Hamid
The state minister also urged everyone to vow for implementing his (Bangabandhu) dream and work accordingly to make the sacrifice he made meaningful
The dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will come true only if we can turn Bangladesh a ‘Sonar Bangla’ [the golden Bengal], said Nasrul Hamid, state minister for power, energy and mineral resources.
He said this while addressing a discussion and special doa mahfil on the occasion of the 44th death anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the capital on Tuesday.
“Every year in the month of mourning, we recall Bangabandhu and his family who were brutally killed on August 15, 1975, but do not learn any lesson from his life,” he mentioned.

Dr Ahmed Daikaus, senior secretary of power division who was present as a special guest said, “This formality will not bring any useful output if we do not instill the spirit of Bangabandhu in our heart. We must pay attention to the salvation of the sin we made by killing him.”
Khaled Mahmood, chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) presided over the meeting.
Among others, Md Zahurul Haque, BPDB’s member (Administration) and high officials of power division were present there.
