The Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) estates across the country have been engaged in making personal protective equipment (PPE), masks and hand sanitisers to meet the country's growing demand for those in the battle against novel coronavirus.
The small industries are producing the medical equipment abiding by the health guidelines provided by the World Health Organisation and the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research, according to an industries ministry statement issued on Friday.
The products are mainly meeting increasing demands from military forces, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, and hospitals and clinics in all districts.
