Raba Khan, the social media influencer and comic, has been selected for the Forbes' 30 under 30 Asia Class of 2020. She is considered as one of the pioneer female comedians in Bangladesh. In her internet videos, Raba is often seen singing, lip-syncing, or reenacting old TV commercials.

Through her videos, Raba addresses so called typical social issues and stereotypes in Bangladesh in a comedic way.

In 2014, Raba was 15-year-old when she launched her YouTube channel "The Jhakanaka Project."

From the beginning Raba wanted to create a lifestyle brand. "I saw myself not only making videos, but also releasing merchandise, having a clothing line and creating an agency of my own," she told the Forbes.

"Bandhobi," her controversial best-seller book caused quite a stir because of its causal and careless use of Bangla language. When the book was published last year, the publisher had to pull the book just eight days after its launch in February.

Many readers found the book "sacrilegious" due to its informal use of the language Bangla.

Raba also was selected as a Youth Ambassador to advocate for children's rights in November 2018 by Unicef.

Now, in her 20s, Raba occasionally works as a model and sells her JKNK fashion line on Instagram, turning many of her 430,000 followers into customers of her saris, tunics and coats.
