Vaccination to resume from 19 June: Health Minister
Citing the inadequacy of vaccine, he reiterated the call to maintain hygiene rules with a view to keeping the viral disease under control

The authorities will resume the Covid-19 vaccination drive from 19 June. Those who have already been registered will be inoculated for now, with the Sinopharm and Pfizer vaccine doses.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque made the disclosure at a function in the capital on Monday evening.
Citing the inadequacy of vaccine, he reiterated the call to maintain hygiene rules with a view to keeping the viral disease under control.
"We are going to resume vaccination. But we have only 11 lakh vaccine doses against the demand of 14 crore doses. That is why everyone must follow the hygiene rules," he said.
The health minister also noted that coronavirus infections are on the rise due to people's reluctance to wearing masks.
He said the health ministry is providing the people with services in all possible ways, but there are some limitations too.
"The hospital beds are limited. If one lakh out of 17 crore people are infected every day, there will be no place to treat them," said the minister, adding that there is no alternative to controlling coronavirus.
