Did Trump threaten Yunus with retaliatory tariffs?
On July 7, US President Donald Trump announced the imposition of a 35 percent tariff on Bangladeshi products. This will be effective from August 1. In this regard, Trump sent a letter to Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh. In the letter, he addressed Dr. Muhammad Yunus and said that if Bangladesh imposes retaliatory tariffs on US products for any reason, then more tariffs will be imposed on Bangladesh.
