Dr Anwar appointed as JSTU VC for second term

Prof Dr Anwar Hossain has been appointed as the vice chancellor of Jessore Science and Technology University (JSTU) for the second term. 

President Abdul Hamid, also the chancellor of the university, approved his reappointment as VC in this regard.

His appointment for second tenure is for four years, according to a notification issued by the education ministry on Tuesday.

First tenure of Dr Anwar ended on 19 May. He joined the office as JSTU VC on 20 May, 2017.

Dr Anwar was professor at Microbiology Department of Dhaka University.

He obtained his PhD degree from Tokyo University in 1991.
