Former "One Direction" star Harry Styles, famous for breaking fashion barriers by wearing various gender-neutral outfits, recently went viral for donning "The Little Mermaid" attire.
The "Watermelon Sugar" singer's photoshoot of him wearing a clam bra, red wig, and mermaid tail while sipping on champagne and smoking a cigarette has created a buzz all over the internet, reports Insider.
According to the news portal "Newsweek", the mermaid photoshoot of Styles was taken during his stint in "Saturday Night Live" in November 2019. It is still unclear as to how the pictures surfaced online again.

Coincidentally, Styles was reportedly in talks to star in the live-action "Little Mermaid" remake as Prince Eric but he turned down the role.
This isn't the first time Styles' outfits have caused a stir online.
Last year, the star gave rise to controversy by wearing a frothy lace-trimmed full-length gown for the cover of US Vogue designed by his friend Alessandro Michele, Gucci's creative director.
