Another batch of 1,759 Rohingyas have reached at Bhasan Char in the fifth phase of the relocation process. 

Five vessels of Bangladesh Navy left the Chattogram Boat Club around 10:30 am on Thursday carrying the Rohingyas and arrived around 1pm at, said Mohammad Shamsu Douza, the government's additional commissioner of refugee, relief and repatriation.

Earlier on Wednesday, 2,257 Rogingya people reached Noakhali's Bhasan Char in the fifth phase.

Earlier, they were transported by bus to Chattogram from Ukhia Degree College located in Cox's Bazar in several phases on Tuesday.

According to the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner office in Cox's Bazar, 9,540 Rohingyas have been relocated to Bhasan Char from the Cox's Bazar camp in four phases until 15 February. In the first phase, 1,642 Rohingyas voluntarily went to Bhasan Char on 4 December. Then on 29 December, 1,805 Rohingyas went to Bhasan Char in the second phase. In the third phase, 3,200 Rohingyas were transferred to Bhasan Char on 28 and 29 January. In the fourth phase, 2,014 Rohingyas on 14 February and 879 Rohingyas on 15 February left the temporary transit camp of Ukhiya College for Bhasan Char.
