Citizens Bank PLC has appointed Mohammad Masoom as the managing director and CEO.
Prior to taking over the new assignment, Mohammad Masoom served in Midland Bank limited as additional managing director, said a press release issued on Sunday.
Mohammad Masoom, a seasoned banker with 3 decades of experience in banking sector has in-depth expertise on credit risk management (CRM) covering areas of corporate financing, syndication and structured finance, facility restructuring as part of business solution.

Mohammad Masoom completed his Honours and Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka.
He obtained his post-graduate diploma on Development Planning and Personnel Management from Academy for Planning and Development and Bangladesh Management Development Centre.
Mohammad Masoom made his debut in the banking profession in AB Bank and subsequently served in Southeast Bank, Trust Bank and National Bank in different responsible positions.
He also served in Bangladesh Finance and Investment Company Limited (BD Finance), as its managing director and CEO and in Mercantile Bank Limited as deputy managing director.
