PKSF distributes Tk27,500cr in Jul-Dec 2020

In the last six months (July-December 2020), the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) disbursed about Tk27,500 crore in the field level.

TPKSF distributed the money to entrepreneurs through its affiliates and various non-governmental development organisations or NGOs.

PKSF Deputy Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader revealed this information at a webinar on the role of the foundation during the coronavirus situation on Thursday.

At the time, it was reported that PKSF disbursed about Tk2,200 crore in new funds in the last six months.

Fazlul Kader said the collection of loan installments from 1.1 crore customers at the field level was completely stopped during the Coronavirus period. It needs special mention that PKSF distributed various relief items worth about Tk30 crore from its own funds and those of its affiliated organizations, he added.

PKSF also donated Tk4 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.

Information Minister Hasan Mahmud was the chief guest at the webinar while Senior Secretary Asadul Islam was present as a special guest.

PKSF Managing Director Mohammad Moin Uddin Abdullah delivered the welcome address at the seminar presided over by PKSF Chairman Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad.
