"We have fulfilled the long cherished dream of Padma Bridge a reality under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there is no doubt that we will achieve more in the future. For this the young generation has to be formed in the spirit of liberation war," he said.

He thanked Daffodil University for organising such an event.

Professor Dr M Lutfar Rahman said in his speech that 49 years have passed since Bangladesh became independent and the achievement of Bangladesh during the period is wonderful.

"Bangladesh has stunned the whole world. The young generation is enjoying the benefits of independent Bangladesh. But many of this generation doesn't know how much sacrifice, struggle, suffering and deprivation has done for the birth of this country," he said, urging the young generation to know the real history of liberation war, language and culture.

Daffodil International University clubs have organised a virtual cultural program on the occasion of Victory Day on 16th December titled "16 out of 49 in the joy of liberation".

Students of the top 16 educational institutions of the country will perform a cultural program titled "Song of Victory in Young Voices" organised by Daffodil University on the same day.
