No photocopy fee for land mutation at Savar
From now on, both sellers and buyers of land must submit three copies of the land transfer notice and one copy of the original deed to a sub-registrar in order before getting the land registered at the aforementioned office.
In a bid to ease the land mutation, fees applicable to various phases in the duplication of original deeds have been suspended at Savar sub-registry office.

The cabinet division came up with the move following the government's approval of automatic mutation within eight days of drawing up land deeds, according to a circular.

The sub-registrar will transfer documents to the land office concerned within the next two working days, reads the circular.
The photocopy of the original deed must have a sealed inscription, "only usable for the work of assistant commissioner and land office."
The stamp duty applicable to the deed photocopy will be exempted under the Stamp Act 1899, states the circular.
"Fees will be suspended for the photocopy of the deed under Registration Summary Book 2014."
All these directives came into effect from 1 December 2020, as per the circular.
