Police's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit has detained four members of banned militant outfit Ansar-Al-Islam from capital's Jartabari on Thursday evening.

The arrestees are Shaheen Omar, Saiful Islam, Hanifuzzaman Biplob and Al Mamun.

"They have admitted that they are involved with the militant group and took jihadi training from Sundarbans' Karamjal and Bandarban's Ali Kadam areas in last 40 days," CTTC chief Monirul Islam briefed the media today morning.
