Banglalink brings mobile services to ChatGPT
Banglalink has introduced its core mobile services through ChatGPT, allowing subscribers to check balances and usage, find suitable packs, and check roaming status in everyday conversation.
Developed by Banglalink Digital, Banglalink GPT is now available nationwide to the operator's subscribers, according to the press release. It marks the first such integration by a telecom operator in Bangladesh.
The service lets customers manage everyday mobile needs directly through ChatGPT, without switching between apps or websites. Subscribers can check their balance and usage, explore suitable packs, check roaming status, and access other key mobile services through the conversational interface.
Customers can find Banglalink GPT in ChatGPT's GPTs section and start using it by asking questions in everyday language.
Banglalink GPT also recommends suitable packs based on customers' needs and usage. For example, someone planning to watch a movie can ask which pack would be suitable. In contrast, another customer can ask to check their current balance, available minutes, or remaining internet data.
Subscribers can also check their roaming status through the assistant. For services requiring a transaction, customers can complete the process through Banglalink's payment portal.
Banglalink Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer Taimur Rahman said, "Customer expectations are evolving rapidly as AI becomes increasingly integrated into everyday life. At Banglalink, we believe that accessing and managing mobile services should evolve accordingly. By becoming the first telecom operator in Bangladesh to bring our services into ChatGPT, we are making it easier for customers to discover, manage, and purchase the services they need through a familiar conversational interface. This initiative reflects our commitment to using technology to make digital experiences more intuitive, accessible, and customer-centric."
The new service forms part of Banglalink's broader efforts as a digital operator to use technology to make everyday services simpler and more accessible to customers.
