M/s Z&Z Lingerie Ltd, a Bangladeshi company, is going to establish an intimate garments manufacturing industry in Chattogram Export Processing Zone (EPZ) with an investment of US$25 million.

The company annually will produce 43 million pieces of different kinds of lingerie items like bras, panties, leggings etc. and sportsware, according to a press release.  

It is mentionable that M/s Z&Z Lingerie is the sixth industry in the EPZ under the same owner, and it will create employment opportunities for around 4,736 Bangladeshi nationals.

An agreement was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s Z&Z Lingerie Ltd. at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on Thursday in this regard, reads the statement.

Md Mahmudul Hossain Khan, member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Sharif Zahir, managing director of Z&Z Lingerie signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

The Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General S M Salahuddin Islam, BP, SPP, ndc, psc witnessed the signing ceremony.

Among others, Member (Engineering) of BEPZA Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) Nafisa Banu, Secretary Md Nabirul Islam, General Manager (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain were present at the signing ceremony, according to the statement.
