According to the case statement, a 5-year-old child was raped in the char area of Harirampur upazila on Saturday morning

Police have arrested three persons on Wednesday night on allegation of raping five-year-old girl in Manikganj.

"The main accused Sheikh Jamir was arrested from Kotwali police station area of Faridpur district at around 10:30 pm on Wednesday," said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Harirampur police station Mueed Chowdhury.

Earlier in the evening, Jamir's brother Kamal and mother Jaygun Begum were arrested from Harirampur upazila.

"The victim's father filed a rape case on Wednesday afternoon against the Sheikh Jamir, his brother Sheikh Kamal, father Sheikh Samed and mother Joygun," he further added.

According to the case statement, a 5-year-old child was raped in the char area of Harirampur upazila on Saturday morning.

The child is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Manikganj.
