HONOR showcases ‘honor ai’ tools for journalists at BIJF workshop
HONOR Bangladesh organised a workshop titled "Practical AI and media integrity workshop with HONOR AI" exclusively for members of the Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF), aiming to highlight the practical use of artificial intelligence in journalism and the importance of credibility and responsible innovation.
Hitler A Halim, president of BIJF, said in his welcome address that understanding AI is increasingly essential for journalists to protect credibility. "AI is no longer optional for journalists, and understanding how it works is essential to protecting credibility. This workshop was designed to bridge technology, ethics and real-world journalistic practice," he said.
Muzahidul Islam, deputy country manager of HONOR Bangladesh, said AI is shaping how news is created and consumed and that trust should remain central to this shift. "At HONOR, we believe that trust must remain at the centre of this transformation, which is why we are committed to building responsible and human-centric AI technologies," he said.

Abdullah Al Mamun, head of business at HONOR Bangladesh, highlighted HONOR AI features relevant to journalism, focusing on tools aimed at improving productivity, creativity and content authenticity. He also shared insights into upcoming AI capabilities, the company said.
The session was conducted by Ghulam Sumdany Don, chief inspirational officer at Don Sumdany Facilitation and managing director at Don Sumdany HR Services and the Teenage Lifeskill Academy. Organisers said the workshop included interactive discussions and practical demonstrations on AI tools for news verification, authenticity checks and newsroom productivity.
Participants also had hands-on interaction with the HONOR Magic 8 Pro and explored its AI features, including a 200MP AI-powered camera system, a YOYO AI assistant and on-device AI security, HONOR said.
HONOR Bangladesh said the workshop reflected its focus on responsible AI innovation and its intention to support the media community with practical and ethical applications of AI.
