RMSTU Career Club holds public speaking competition
The public speaking competition, "The Voice of RMSTU", organised by the RMSTU Career Club, was held on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, at 9:30am in the conference room of Academic Building-1 at Rangamati Science and Technology University (RMSTU).
Muntasirul Alam was named champion of the competition. Sanjida Rubaiyat Jesifa secured the first runner-up position, while Rabiul Awal Kawsar was the second runner-up.
The competition was judged by a panel comprising Dr Md Mizanur Rahman, Acting Controller of Examinations and Associate Professor of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources Technology; Dr Tanjim Mahmud, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering; Saddam Hossain, Director (Student Counselling and Guidance) and Assistant Professor of the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science; and Fahim Hossain, Lecturer of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The chief guest was Mohammad Junaid Kabir, Acting Registrar of RMSTU and Associate Professor of the Department of Management. In his address, he welcomed the organisers and participants, and praised the Career Club for arranging the initiative. He encouraged students to begin shaping their career paths early in university by setting clear goals and adopting proper planning. He also emphasised the importance of developing employability skills and assured continued support from the university administration for future career-oriented programmes.
Champion Muntasirul Alam is a student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. First runner-up Sanjida Rubaiyat Jesifa is from the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, while second runner-up Rabiul Awal Kawsar is a student of the Department of Management. Seventeen students from various departments participated in the competition.
During the programme, Shahriar Rabbi Tanmoy, President of the RMSTU Career Club and a student of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, also spoke. The event was hosted by Aklima Akter, a student of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources Technology.
