Akijbashir group promotes COO Khorshed Alam to DMD
AkijBashir Group has promoted Mohammad Khorshed Alam to Deputy Managing Director (DMD).
Prior to this promotion, he served as the group's Chief Operating Officer. Mohammad Khorshed Alam joined AkijBashir Group in June 2019 as Director (Sales and Marketing – Ceramics).
During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening the company's overall operations, including production, supply chain management, and sales and marketing activities, according to a press release.

Before joining AkijBashir Group, he held senior positions at several leading organisations, including Novartis, Robi, Lafarge, Airtel, Rocket, and DBL Ceramics.
He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Finance and Banking at the University of Dhaka and later earned an MBA in Marketing.
As Deputy Managing Director, Mohammad Khorshed Alam expressed optimism about leading AkijBashir Group's Building Material Division towards achieving its billion-dollar growth ambition.
