Meghna Life Insurance hosts three-day annual conference

The three-day annual conference of Meghna Life Insurance PLC was held from 28 to 30 January 2026 at the Long Beach Hotel in Cox's Bazar.

The conference was presided over by Mohammad Tarek, FCA, Chief Executive Officer (in charge), while Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Chairman, Meghna Life Insurance PLC, attended as chief guest. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Vice Chairman, and Riaz Uddin Ahmed, Director, attended as special guests. Joynal Abedin Bhuiyan, Consultant and Head of Marketing, presented a detailed overview of business performance and strategic priorities. Senior executives of the company were also present and participated in the discussions.

The chief guest, special guests, Chief Executive Officer (in charge), and Consultant and Head of Marketing delivered keynote speeches to development officers and associates attending the conference. The speakers placed particular emphasis on increasing first-year and renewal premiums, as well as reinstating lapsed policies, to achieve the business targets set for 2026. They expressed confidence that development officers and associates would continue their efforts to meet these goals.

In his address, Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Chairman, expressed satisfaction with Meghna Life Insurance PLC's overall business performance for the 2025 business year. He stated that the company's business was expected to grow at a satisfactory pace from 2026 onwards and continue in the coming years. He also expressed hope that future annual conferences would see more officers and employees in attendance and shared plans to celebrate the company's 30th anniversary on a large scale.

Nearly 1,000 development officers and associates attended the conference. During the event, 25 zone in-charges and financial associates were awarded honorary crests and medals for achievements in various categories in the 2025 business year.
