A court here today imposed a travel ban on former LGRD secretary Abu Alam Md Shahid Khan.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order allowing a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The petition said the ACC is investigating the allegations of corruption and money laundering against Shahid Khan. During the inquiry, information received from confidential sources indicated that the accused person is attempting to leave the country and flee to another country.

"Therefore, in the interest of a fair and proper investigation, it is necessary to restrain the individual from travelling abroad," it added.
