The feat was achieved by Team Bangladesh in Dhaka on 16 December 2025, commemorating the country’s 54th Victory Day.
Bangladesh has set a new Guinness World Record by flying the highest number of national flags simultaneously during a parachute jump, marking a historic achievement on Victory Day.
According to a press statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) today (13 January), the record titled "Most Flags Flown Simultaneously While Skydiving (Parachute Jump)" was officially confirmed by Guinness World Records. The feat was achieved by Team Bangladesh in Dhaka on 16 December 2025, commemorating the country's 54th Victory Day.
A total of 54 national flags were flown in the sky at the same time during the coordinated parachute jump, symbolising national unity and collective strength. The record attempt brought together skydivers from across the country in a single, large-scale display.
The operation was planned and executed by the Armed Forces Division (AFD) and featured skilled skydivers and trained paratroopers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces. Participants included Chowdhury Mohammed Ashik Bin Harun and Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, executive chairman of both BIDA and BEZA, alongside other experienced jumpers.
The Guinness World Records management team said the initiative aimed to make Bangladesh's Victory Day memorable on the international stage while showcasing national collaboration, courage, and capability through a rare and complex aerial display.
ISPR said the achievement is more than just a world record, calling it a reflection of the professionalism, discipline, and confidence of the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
"The moment, marked by 54 red-and-green flags floating in the sky, is expected to remain a proud chapter in the country's history and inspire future generations," the statement noted.
