BRAC Bank, The Daily Star honour tech innovators at 10th ICT Awards 2025
BRAC Bank and The Daily Star hosted the 10th ICT Awards 2025 on 29 November at the Sheraton Dhaka, marking a decade of recognising leadership and innovation in the country's ICT sector.
This year, three individuals and four organisations were honoured for their contributions to Bangladesh's digital transformation.
Augmedix Bangladesh won ICT Solution Provider of the Year, while Daraz Bangladesh Limited received Digital Commerce of the Year. TallyKhata, developed by Progoti Systems Limited, was awarded ICT Start-up of the Year for its role in supporting small businesses.
Ambareen Reza, Managing Director and Co-founder of foodpanda Bangladesh, was named ICT Woman of the Year, and Kamal Quadir, Founder and CEO of bKash, received ICT Business Person of the Year.
Pathao received Special Recognition for its contribution to digital mobility, while A.K.M. Fahim Mashroor, CEO of bdjobs.com, was presented the ICT Pioneer Award for his long-standing impact on Bangladesh's tech ecosystem.
Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud, Adviser for Planning at the Ministry of Planning, attended the ceremony as chief guest and handed over the awards. He was joined by Mahfuz Anam, Editor and Publisher of The Daily Star, and Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director and CEO of BRAC Bank.
Speaking at the event, Tareq Refat Ullah Khan said, "At BRAC Bank, our commitment to the ICT sector stems from a simple belief: when technology is inclusive, a nation becomes unstoppable. We continue deepening our engagement with ICT companies — from tailored banking solutions to strategic partnerships for digital businesses."
The milestone 10th edition celebrated a decade of achievements, recognising the innovators shaping Bangladesh's transition to a smarter, more digitally empowered future.
