ICT wants probe report within two months in Sirajganj July Uprising killings case
The case involves former Sirajganj-2 MP Jannat Ara Henry, along with two others, accused of crimes against humanity.

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) today (5 October) has directed the prosecution to submit an investigation report in the case filed over the killing of three people in Sirajganj during the July Uprising last year within the next two months.
The case involves former Sirajganj-2 MP Jannat Ara Henry, along with two others, accused of crimes against humanity.
The order was issued by a Tribunal-1 bench headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mojumdar. The tribunal also fixed 14 December as the next date for the hearing.
Today was initially set for the submission of the investigation report. However, the prosecution, representing the investigation agency, sought an additional two months to complete the investigation. After the hearing, the tribunal granted the request and ordered the report to be submitted within that period.
Additionally, the police produced the three accused before the tribunal. Apart from Henry, the other two are district Awami League leader Md Shamim Talukder Labu and Md Abu Musa.
During the uprising, various incidents of violence occurred in Sirajganj, similar to other parts of the country, leaving three people dead and several others injured.
Following the incidents, a case was filed with the tribunal accusing the three of crimes against humanity. All three accused are currently in jail in connection with separate cases.
