No female candidate for VP post in Cucsu
The Cucsu election is scheduled for 12 October.
No female candidate has submitted a nomination for the vice-president (VP) post in the upcoming Chittagong University Central Students' Union (Cucsu) election, although 48 women are contesting for other positions.
In total, 429 students filed nomination papers for various posts before the 18 September deadline, according to Prof AKM Ariful Haque Siddiqui, member secretary of the election conducting committee.
"Although women have submitted nominations for a range of posts, no female candidate has contested for the vice-president position," he said.
The Cucsu election is scheduled for 12 October.
