Bank Asia holds 49th shariah supervisory committee meeting
The 49th meeting of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of Bank Asia PLC was held on 28 July 2025 at Bank Asia Tower in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka.
Mufti Shahed Rahmani, Chairman, presided over the meeting. Other attendees included Member Secretary Maulana Shah Mohammad Wali Ullah, Faqih Member Maulana Muhammad Mufazzal Hussain Khan, Dr. Muhammad Ismail Hossain, and Professor Dr Shamsul Alam.
The Managing Director (current charge), Mr ANM Mahfuz, and other senior Bank Asia officials attended.

Key agenda items included reviewing Shariah compliance in Islamic banking, enhancing service quality, managing investments, and refining procedures for Shariah-compliant products.
The Chairman emphasised the need to make Islamic banking more dynamic and effective. He also emphasised the importance of improving Shariah compliance in all areas.
