Berger Paints wins SDG Brand Champion Award for sustainable innovation

Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, the country's leading paint brand, has been recognised as one of the most sustainable brands of the year by winning the SDG Brand Champion Award 2025.

The award was presented at the "SDG Brand Champion Awards 2025" ceremony held on Saturday, 12 July 2025, at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka. Berger received the award in the 'Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure' category for its innovative product, Berger Eco Coat — Bangladesh's first anti-pollution paint.

Berger Paints Bangladesh has long prioritised sustainable and eco-friendly innovations beyond conventional decorative solutions. The company introduced Berger Eco Coat, formulated with Air Purifying Hybrid (APH) technology, capable of absorbing up to 90 percent of harmful gases from the air. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, the product is designed to combat air pollution, particularly in highly polluted cities like Dhaka.

The award acknowledges Berger's commitment to developing impactful solutions that contribute to building a healthier, more livable environment. The event was jointly organised by the Bangladesh Brand Forum and the Sustainable Brand Initiative, and was attended by industry leaders and professionals from both corporate and development sectors.

A.S.M. Obaidullah Mahmud, Chief Research and Development Officer of Berger Paints Bangladesh, received the award on behalf of the company. He was accompanied by Md Rashedul Hasan, Head of Brands, along with other senior officials of the organisation.

Berger Paints Bangladesh regards this recognition as an important milestone in its journey towards sustainable innovation and considers it a motivation to continue developing environmentally conscious solutions for the future.
