Fire breaks out at multi-storied building in Chattogram's Jamalkhan area

A fire broke out on the seventh floor a multi-storied building named Eureka Building located in the Jamalkhan area under Kotwali Police Station in Chattogram city this afternoon. No casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident so far.
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, the fire was reported at around 12:35pm today (8 July). Upon receiving the information, seven firefighting units were immediately dispatched to the scene to bring the blaze under control.
Mehedi, an operator at the Divisional Control Room of the Fire Service, confirmed the incident, saying, "We received information about a fire on the seventh floor of the Eureka Building in Jamalkhan at 12:35pm. Seven units are currently working to extinguish the fire."
The fire has been brought under control around 1:25pm and the firefighters are working on fully extinguishing the fire.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage have not yet been determined. Firefighters continue to work at the site, and further details will be available once the situation is brought fully under control.
