Chattogram, Naogaon and Narsingdi get new DCs
The government will appoint new DCs in all districts ahead of the upcoming national election to hold it in a credible manner.

The government has transferred the deputy commissioner (DC) of Naogaon to Chattogram and appointed new DCs in Naogaon and Narsingdi.
Naogaon DC Md Abdul Awal has been transferred to serve as the DC of Chattogram, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration today (21 September).
Meanwhile, Md Anwar Hossain, deputy secretary of the Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, has been appointed DC of Narsingdi, and Monira Haque, deputy secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, has been appointed DC of Naogaon.
Quoting officials at the public administration ministry, UNB reported in August that the government is set to appoint new DCs in all districts ahead of the upcoming national election to hold it in a credible manner.
According to officials familiar with the matter, the appointments of new DCs are expected to be finalised by September, with the national election scheduled to be held in February next year.
