Community Bank holds its 6th Annual General Meeting

The 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC was held at the Police Headquarters in Dhaka on Wednesday, 28 May 2025.

Mr Baharul Alam BPM, Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh and Chairman of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, chaired the meeting. During the meeting, the Bank's audited financial statements for the year 2024 were adopted by the shareholders, and a cash dividend was declared.

Addressing the honourable shareholders, in his speech, Mr Baharul Alam, BPM, Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh, and Chairman of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, said, "Community Bank is not only a bank for the Bangladesh Police, but also a bank for the general public." He expressed that the progress of Community Bank will continue through the introduction of community-based innovative products and smart banking solutions for people from all walks of life.

He further mentioned that in the future, Community Bank would focus on improving its business and customer experience through initiatives like a dedicated service desk for the members of Bangladesh Police at every branch and sub-branch, introducing technology-based products and service innovations for the distant and marginalised communities, and development of human resources for a `service first' culture.
