Why Arab states now oppose a US-Israel attack on Iran?
Many Arab countries once gave the United States tacit support for military conflict over Iran. The Gulf states have long viewed Iran as their main security threat and did not consider a potential US attack aimed at regime change there to be unusual. But that situation has changed now. As US President Donald Trump contemplates a military strike on Iran, leaders of several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, are urging the United States not to take this path.
