BUP hosts seminar on policy reform and sustainable development

The Department of Development Studies under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organised a seminar titled "Policy Process, Institutional Reform and Sustainable Development in Bangladesh: Contemporary Issues and Challenges" on Monday at Bijoy Auditorium, BUP.

Bringing together policymakers, academics, development practitioners, and students, the seminar offered a critical platform to examine the evolving intersections of governance, institutional reform, and sustainable development in Bangladesh. As the country navigates complex socio-economic transitions and global sustainability challenges, the event encouraged meaningful dialogue and solution-oriented thinking.

Dr. Asif Mohammad Shahan, Professor at the Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka, delivered the keynote address, offering insights into the dynamics of policy processes and institutional transformation in the national context. Assistant Professor Shashish Shami Kamal and Assistant Professor Tanjila Afrin of the Department of Development Studies at BUP participated as panel speakers, contributing their academic perspectives on institutional reform and development strategies.
