Another Ctg doctor dies of Covid-19

A doctor named Nazrul Islam Chowdhury Taslim has died of Covid-19 in Chattogram.

He died at the Intensive Care Unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital at 10:30 pm on Monday.

Dr Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury was an associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Chattogram Medical College. His wife is also a doctor in the Gynaecology department of the hospital.

Along with Covid-19, he was battling cancer. Nazrul Islam was admitted to the hospital on August 2.

Deputy Director of the hospital Dr Aftabul Islam said, "Dr Nazrul Islam Chowdhury was kept in ICU after his breathing difficulties increased. He died on Monday night."

Nazrul Islam was a student of batch 21 of MAG Osmani Medical College in Sylhet.

Mujibul Haque Khan, president of the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) in Chattogram said that 12 doctors have died from Covid-19 in Chattogram till now.
