Why didn't Genghis Khan's empire survive?
At one time, the largest empire in history was that of the Mongolians. It was built under the leadership of Genghis Khan. But that empire did not last. The Mongolians were ruled by the Chinese, and the Soviets also dominated. Mongolia is a huge but sparsely populated country located in the heart of Asia. Currently, it is the 18th largest country in the world in terms of area. Its area is about 1.56 million square kilometers. But the population is only 3.5 million! About 99 percent of the country is uninhabited, there are no villages or cities.
