A new platform titled Airlines GSA (General Sales Agent) Forum of Bangladesh has been officially launched in the country.
The inauguration ceremony was held at a hotel in Dhaka on Sunday, where representatives from various local and international GSA companies, who represent foreign airlines operating in Bangladesh, were present.
The event was graced by the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), Air Vice Marshal M Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, as the chief guest.
The organisers said currently, more than 70 foreign aviation operators are working in Bangladesh, of which around 50 are represented by GSA Forum members. Their collective efforts play a crucial role in boosting both tourism and trade.

This forum has been formed to ensure better coordination, growth, and policy support from relevant government bodies for the sustainable development of this sector."
According to the association, 28 GSA companies are currently members of the forum, and several others have expressed interest in joining the platform.
The forum's Member Secretary, Muzakker Hossain, also addressed the gathering during the event.
