Prof AKM Elius appointed as principal of Dhaka College for two years
Professor AKM Elius has been appointed as the principal of Dhaka College for a two-year term on a contractual basis.
According to a notification issued by the Contract and Foreign Employment Branch of the Secretariat today (18 May), his post-retirement leave and related benefits have been suspended, and he has agreed to forego any professional ties with other public, private, or semi-government institutions or businesses to accept the new role.
The terms of the appointment will be governed by a separate contract. This decision comes under Section 49 of the Public Service Act, 2018, and was taken in the public interest, the notification said.
