 LafargeHolcim Bangladesh elects new Independent Director

LafargeHolcim Bangladesh PLC (LHB) today announced the appointment of Ms Rupali Haque Chowdhury as an Independent Director of the Company.

Ms Chowdhury is the Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh.

Ms Chowdhury brings an illustrious career spanning four decades in leadership, corporate governance, and industrial growth, making her a valuable addition to the LHB Board. She has a proven track record of success in leading and managing businesses, and her expertise in the building industry will be invaluable to LHB.

Mr Christof Hässig, Chairman of LHB, said, "We are delighted to welcome Ms Chowdhury to the Board of Directors. Her extensive experience and leadership skills will be a valuable asset to our Company as we continue to grow and expand our operations in Bangladesh."
Currently Ms Chowdhury is the President of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC), Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh Economic Zone Investors Association (BEZIA), Independent Director at Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Limited, Director of SMC Enterprise Limited, Berger Fosroc Ltd., Jenson and Nicholson (Bangladesh) Ltd and Berger Becker Bangladesh Ltd.

She holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, and a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Chemistry from the University of Chittagong.
