The Netherlands won the Fair Play Trophy at the 2026 World Cup after receiving only three yellow cards throughout the tournament, the lowest disciplinary tally among teams that reached at least the knockout stage.
The Fair Play Trophy, first awarded at the 1970 World Cup when Peru won the inaugural honour, is presented to the team that reaches at least the second round with the best disciplinary record, says Al Jazeera.
The Dutch side, who entered the tournament as favourites to top Group F, won two matches before their campaign ended in the round of 32. They were eliminated after a 3-2 penalty shootout defeat to Morocco.
